Tryouts for the Bantam city-wide league will start on March 9th and finish up on March 14th. The draft will take place and teams will be formed within a few days of that.
Tryout fees are $100. There are also warm-ups sessions the night before the tryouts start (March 8th), during which time the Going Yard will take players the drills and skills that will be used to evaluate them for that portion of the tryouts. This additional session is $25.
The format for tryouts includes:
March 9th and 10th - one hour per player during which time they will be measured on velocity items, sprint etc., and more specific drills for positions indicated during the registration process.
Following this, players will be broken into teams and evaluated on live game play, during which time third party evaluators will be used. Coaches will also be present to evaluate players for purposes of the draft.
